Intelligent solutions company, Quiptech came to CXV Global with a requirement for a software solution. Quiptech’s customer supplies specialised modules to the automotive industry. The customer required an inspection of one of these modules during assembly to ensure quality. The inspection would confirm the correct orientation of mating connectors within the metal casing of the module. When correctly fitted, two ‘wings’ must extend to hold the connectors in place. A solution was required that would inspect whether the connectors were correctly mated through the presence or absence of these ‘wings’. As well as inspecting for presence/ absence, the customer also required that the system would capture the module’s serial number and query it as part of the inspection.
